Yo ppl! The past few days has been pretty busy for me. I'm not working though... Just that i have to build my 1/2A Combat Plane, playing badminton, flying e flight simulator and going to Seletar Airport. Heh!

Anyway, this is juz a short post about something that really surprised me. Its from Raymond Liew's blog about the SASS O level report for the 2008 cohort from Belinda Charles:

Report from Mrs. Belinda Charles,Principal of St Andrew's Secondary School

Our students in the express stream have done well and have given the best performance yet for the last seven years. While in previous years, we hovered near 3 for our mean subject grade, this year we have managed to break the barrier and obtained 2.93. (3 is the value of a B3, in school it would mean between 65-69 marks, 2 is the value of an A2, in school it would mean between 70-74 marks) While we are still waiting for the official analysis and breakdown from MOE, we estimate that this could place us possibly 2 bands higher in the school ranking list.

As a result, three quarters of our express stream students qualify for junior college and almost all qualify for a polytechnic course. The number of students obtaining five distinctions rose to an unprecedented 30% and 31 of our 170 students had 10 points and below for 6 subjects (the aggregate used for JC entry). With another 50 students obtaining 11 to 15 points, we hope that many more of the Saints can get into SAJC than previously.

We are proud to announce the following top students

Ronald Liong, from SAJS with a PSLE aggregate above 250, scored 8 distinctions, 6 of them A1s

John Sng Chong Yi, from Henry Park with a PSLE aggregate in the 230s, scored 8 distinctions, 6 of them A1s

Benjamin Toh Kun Hao, from SAJS with a PSLE aggregate above 250, scored 7 distinctions, 6 of them A1s

Nigel Wong Wen Yu, from SAJS with a PSLE aggregate in the 230s, scored 7 distinctions, 6 of them A1s

Tan Jian’En, from SAJS with a PSLE aggregate in the 230s, scored 7 distinctions, 5 of them A1s

Jonathan Phang Tze Hian, a returning Singaporean, scored 6 distinctions, 5 of them A1s

Clement Lim Wei Jie, from SAJS with a PSLE aggregate in the 220s, scored 8 distinctions, 4 of them A1s

Arvindh Rai, school vice captain and from SAJS with a PSLE aggregate just below 240, scored 8 distinctions, 4 of them A1s

Melvin Lim Zhi Xiang, from SAJS with a PSLE aggregate in the 240s, scored 7 distinctions, 4 of them A1s

Ian Ng De Rong, school captain and from SAJS with a PSLE aggregate above 250, scored 7 distinctions, 4 of them A1s

We are as proud of our boys who did not score as well in PSLE, but whom we gave a chance to study in the express stream. The following boys all had PSLE scores that were Express/Normal and yet obtained O level scores that qualify them for junior college. This speaks a lot for their grit and determination, and we want to congratulate

Joshua Cheng Yong Jin with 6 distinctions

Mathew Gunawan Sia with 6 distinctions

Kevin Koh Shao Jie, band member, with 3 distinctions

Benjamin Lan Junming with 3 distinctions

Tee Liang Feng, band member, with 3 distinctions

Brendan Koh Jian Wei with 2 distinctions

Ho Kai Chieh with 2 distinctions

Isaac Ho Safii, tennis player, with 2 distinctions

Joshua Ong Yong Ming with 2 distinctions

Seran Yeo Choon Meng, our top sprinter, with 2 distinctions

Arvind Jeyabalen with 1 distinction

Cleon Ang Chii Tswen with 1 distinction

Nickhalas Nivaenthiran with 1 distinction

We thank God indeed for His grace and for giving us such dedicated staff who were willing to put in extra hours and extra days to work with our students. We thank God too for humble and cooperative students who were willing to work with their teachers.

Sadly, our students in Secondary Five did not do so well. After the very good showing in 2005 and 2006, it appears that the present batches of students need a lot more guidance and scheduling to gain the discipline needed to do justice to their own abilities. But God is faithful and boys who were willing to put in their effort were duly rewarded. Among them we want to congratulate

Shaun Lai Wei Teck who scored 5 distinctions and was given direct admission to Ngee Ann Polytechnic even before his O level results were known

Karl Nicholas Tan who scored 2 distinctions

Leon Ho Weiren who scored 2 distinctions

Ok, joke for this post about how chinese do their business in China:

A man went on a business trip to China and wanted to buy some gifts for his kids.
He went to a shop and found a nice looking CD player.
Wary of buying inferior goods, he asked the shopkeeper, 'What would happened if this does not work?'

The shopkeeper quietly points to the only sign in English that reads, 'GUARANTEE NO SPOILT'.

Feeling assured, he paid for the CD player and returns to his hotel.
He tried to use the CD player after returning to the hotel but it would not even switch on.

He quickly return to the shop and asked for a refund or an exchange for another unit.
When the shopkeeper refused to give either, the man points to the sign assuring him of a guarantee.

The shopkeeper then said, 'Brother, you are in China. We read from the right to the left.'

Yo ppl, I finally got the mood to blog, haha :D. Anyway, this week has been really fun/busy for me except today. Monday and tuesday, i went out with jonald to sch to settle some stuff and play with the flight simulator in the SAYFC's simulator room playing CS and all. Then on wednesday i went to play badminton with Kiat Han's friends. Those guys are really cool lah. And wat's even better is that most of them are gng to NP too! :D

I really hope im gonna enjoy my next 3 yrs in NP with loads of cool friends and a "good" course, really have to thank god for that. :D

Ok, lets see... i got my enrolment package alrdy (phew!) and the poly fees are like expensive. Maybe cuz when i was in sec sch, the fees are only like $6?

So now, im researching on getting a very good laptop that has powerful graphics, processor, RAM, memory. The thing is, i forgot bout researching on the battery life. But if im thinking of getting a laptop that is that powerful and trustable with a "reasonable price" is the MacBook Pro. No wait, its not reasonable, it costs arnd $4000. WTH! o.O

So, i kinda researched e possible laptops i can use in poly which has good graphics, powerful processor, reasonable amount of memory space and RAM. I will not review all of the laptops cuz im kinda lazy, heh! So there is one laptop that really caught my eye is this:

It's the 15.4 inch Asus G50 with Intel Centrino T9400 Core 2 Duo Processor 2.53GHz, 4GB RAM, 320GB Harddrive, 4 USB ports, Nvidia GeForce 9700M GT with 512MB Video RAM, weighs only 2.89kg and it only costs $3098.

The only trouble that people are concerned with is the sucky battery life, which i don't know...

Anyway, here are the photos of it:

This really suits my type and course because maybe i might need some processor intensive program ( maybe aerodynamic programs?), graphic intensive games (Flight Simulator and Left 4 Dead) and loads of memory space (projects and MUSIC :D ).

Ok, tat's it for the post today. Tomorrow im gng to sch again to fly more in the flight simulator in the Simulator room and then train my juniors to fly. :D

Joke for today, English or German:

European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English".

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy.

The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.

Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.

Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.

By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with "z" and "w"with "v".

During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil have a reil sensi bl riten styl.

Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru.

Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in ze forst plas.

Yo guys, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY. To all love birds out there, hope that your love will stay strong and remain between the both of you. :P

Anyway, loads of good stuff kind of happened. On Friday, i had a chat with the SYFC Trainer Tony Chang bout going to F2D Combat plane. I got approval from him. I asked my dad, i got approval from him too. :D. The 1st real training for the year, and the Year 1s managed to have a chance to fly. An excellent accomplishment (i got sun burned in the end. S@£3w it). This is my senior's F2D plane:

Ok, today. Went out with Jan in the early afternoon to evening. Went to watch BrideWars at cathay orchard. Super funny and touching in the end. Haha. Then went to Jaben to go ask Jan try out earphones. Tried a few IEMs and some headphones. In the end, I bought an IEM and a headphone for her. :P

Then Jan and I walked to Marina Bay, and sent her off cuz she has to have dinner with her parents.

I met sarah, jerald, GAB sng, lindy, ting ying, ian tan at the Sky Garden in Suntec City then slack there for a long while. We went to send lindy off, then have dinner at subway. Jerald and Ian Tan soon left. I left with my parents who were in Suntec later at 9pm. :P

Ok, joke time. It's about a guy looking for an american job:

John Smith started the day early having set his

Alarm clock (MADE IN JAPAN) for 6 a.m.

While his coffeepot (MADE IN CHINA )

Was perking, he shaved with his

Electric razor (MADE IN HONG KONG ).

He put on a

Dress shirt (MADE IN SRI LANKA),

Designer jeans (MADE IN SINGAPORE)

And

Tennis shoes (MADE IN KOREA)

After cooking his breakfast in his new

Electric skillet (MADE IN INDIA)

He sat down with his

Calculator (MADE IN MEXICO)

To see how much he could spend today. After setting his

Watch (MADE IN TAIWAN)

To the radio (MADE IN INDIA)

He got in his car (MADE IN GERMANY)

Filled it with GAS (from Saudi Arabia)

And continued his search

For a good paying AMERICAN JOB.

At the end of yet another discouraging

And fruitless day checking his

Computer (Made In Malaysia),

Joe decided to relax for a while.

He put on his sandals (MADE IN BRAZIL)

Poured himself a glass of wine (MADE IN FRANCE)

And turned on his

TV (MADE IN INDONESIA),

And then wondered why he can’t find a good paying job in AMERICA .

Alrighty, time for me to go. Pretty tired already. Haha. Will be spending my audiophile goodness in later on my bed before i slp. :P

I gave this for her. It's hand made. A bare photo frame and I painted with glittered black paint, added coloured heart shapes and a self made pink ribbon to create this:

Yo ppl, i juz went out with a SASS senior (4 yrs older than me). He is really a cool and friendly guy. We headed down to Jaben together to test out new headphones. A $799 Denon D5000. Its rubbish. Hurts my ears quite bad. The highs are too sharp. LOL!

Anyway, we went to pastamania to have dinner at Suntec City and we talked about teachers whom he and I know. We also talked about lots of stuff of SASS. So cool lah, and I was trying to know wat is the SASS' past when I haven't got into the SASS yet.

Anyway, i took his picture of his bright pink Ultimate Ears UE11 Pro Custom earphones that costs $2000. So cool lah, and looks unique. Bright pink custom earphones which no one has yet. :P

The Pink UE11 Pro:

I also saw this at Suntec, so nice :D :

Ok, another joke for today i got from the forum :P. Students, please don't fall for this trick next time if you can drive:

One night four college students were playing till late night and didn't
study for the test which was scheduled for the next day.

In the morning they thought of a plan. They made themselves look as
dirty and messy with grease and dirt. They then went up to the Dean and
said that they had gone out to a wedding last night and on their return
the tyre of their car burst and they had to push the car all the way
back and that they were in no condition to appear for the test.

So the Dean said they can have the re-test after 3 days. They thanked
him and said they will be ready by that time...
On the third day they appeared before the Dean. The Dean said that as
this was a Special Condition Test, All four were required to sit in
separate classrooms for the test.
They all agreed as they had prepared well in the last 3 days.

The Test consisted of 2 questions with the total of 100 Marks.

Q.1. Your Name.........................( 2 MARKS )
Q.2. Which tyre burst?...............( 98 MARKS )

a) Front Left
b) Front Right
c) Back Left
d) Back Right.....!!!

Went out with Kiat Han's friends/classmates today. Really cool!

Played with them badminton, eat KFC then go LAN to play Left 4 Dead. Haha, these guys are pretty awesome to hang out with. :D

Ok, nothing much to talk about over the past few days. Unless u can say i got a new necklace in which i cant wear yet....... LOL!

Alrighty, i will post one stupid italian pregnancy joke in which i got it from a forum:
"An 18 year old Italian girl tells her Mom that she has missed her period for 2 months.
Very worried, the mother goes to the drugstore and buys a pregnancy kit. The test result
shows that the girl is pregnant.

Shouting, cursing, crying, the mother says, 'who was the pig that did this to you? I want to know!'
The girl picks up the phone and makes a call. Half an hour later, a Ferrari stops in front of their house.
A mature and distinguished man with grey hair and impeccably dressed in an Armani suit steps out of the
Ferrari and enters the house.

He sits in the living room with the father, mother, and the girl and tells them: 'Good morning, your daughter has informed me of the problem. I can't marry her because of my personal family situation but I'll take charge.
I will pay all costs and provide for your daughter for the rest of her life. Additionally, if a girl is born, I will bequeath a Ferrari, 2 retail stores, a townhouse, a beach front villa, and a $2,000,000 bank account. If a boy is born, my legacy will be a couple of factories and a $4,000,000 bank account. If twins, they will receive a factory and $2,000,000 each.

However, if there is a miscarriage, what do you suggest I do?'
At this point, the father, who had so far remained silent, places a hand firmly on the man's shoulder and tells him,

'You try again.' "

LOL! haha, thats it for today. I'm gng out with a SASS guy 4 yrs my senior who is also an audiophile too. See ya. :D

Ok, just update now since i just finished customizing my blog. Went to spend alot of time trying to find a perfect color combination with my wallpaper of the stonehenge. At least i tried to be unique to customize my blog with my own picture i took when I was in UK. If u guys wanna know wat is the orginal photo (U can see it in my facebook under UK Photos), here it is:

Alrighty, lets start on monday. My badminton teacher in SASS asked me to follow the 'B' Div badminton team to "take charge" of them. Well... on monday, we beaten Clementi Woods Sec Sch 3-2. Then on wednesday, we got thrashed by SJI 5-0, and on friday, we also lost to Holy Innocent Sec Sch 5-0 (which was almost a thrash)......

On tuesday, i met ernest and Mark Tan Wen Min at J8 to walk arnd and have dinner. It's been 4 years since i met Mark, and he looks exactly the same. Haha. And while we were having dinner at Sakae Sushi, ernest and I were taking camwhore shots of each other. Here are some of them that i took (ernest and mark tan only):

In the end, i no choice treat them dinner, which costs $78 =((. My $$ fly away just like that. Heh. Still, it's worth it treating a friend whom i have not seen since Primary Sch.

I shall end here since there is nthing much to write about le. My life is so boring..........
